That’s What I Like

Pizza Pizza Pizza

Who doesn’t enjoy a delicious bite of pizza. The well known pizza places unlike Little Caesar , Hungry Howies, or even Jets are classic, but theirs a new self creation pizza place called Blaze Pizzas.I am a person who absolutely love pizza, so when i heard there was going to be a new pizza place near me I had to try it out.

img_2454.png

Blaze pizza is location is  112 S Main St, Royal Oak right next to Leo’s Coney Island and down the street from Emagine theater.Blaze pizza is the perfect place to go after an fun night out the guys or girls.Blaze pizza is always located in the downtown royal oak area so if you enjoy the city life atmosphere blaze pizza is the perfect place to be.If you run into any problems or want to call for any reason there contact information is (248) 278-0918.

IMG_E2419[1]

The second entrance to Blaze Pizza

Since Blaze is located in the heart of downtown royal oak, its atmosphere is mainly casual urban and hip type of scenery. When first entering Blaze pizza your eyes will be drawn to the written sayings on the wall such as “There Is No Wrong Way To Play”. Blaze pizza have plus 20 seating area and one long bar like table. Blaze also have patio seating for the summertime.

IMG_2456

History of Blaze.

Blaze pizza in royal oak first open up in October on the 22nd. Blaze pizza executive chef is Bradford Kent also known as “The Pizza Whisperer”.The executive Chef of Blaze pizza created a fresh made-from-scratch dough healthful, artisanal ingredients on the assembly line.

Pizza dough Blaze use for every pizza

Friendly ingredients.

From Blaze friendly Eco packaging that use packaging that is recyclable, compostable and/or made from post-consumer reclaimed materials.Further more there straws, lids and cups are made from plants and not from petroleum(common form of plastic).Which is way better than using plastic made material.

Blaze pizza is also gluten free selection of pizza for someone with an gluten allergy, that person would have to request for the sever to change there gloves and the pizza cutter they are using. Also if you have a very sensitive allergy to gluten then you many want to take into consideration that gluten free pizza dough goes inside the same huge pizza oven as non gluten free dough pizza.Furthermore blaze pizza  have a vegan selection of pizza where there traditional pizza crust is made from filtered water, unbleached flour, extra-virgin olive oil, salt and a touch of sugar and they also offer a vegan cheese option (soy-free).

img_2459.png

Blaze pizza menu price is not five dollars like little ceases where it can feed a small family.Blaze pizza is more of an individual pizza place because there assembly line like subway is to make pizza for how that individual person would want. There price of an build your own pizza is 8 RIGHT PRICE.

Although I really love eating blaze pizza I feel there price for a build your own should be lower than 8 RIGHT PRICE.I say this because you don’t get that many slices when your pizza is done.Recently they added a lunch hour pizza for five dollars between the time of 2 pm-5 pm, so that’s a step in the right directions.Unlike many pizza places blaze bathroom is always clean and fulled with toiletries. There tables are always always clean from people dinning in.

IMG_2450

The service of Blaze is mainly self serve. Their are no waiters and no waitress just employees behind a counter serving preparing the food.Usually theirs about 4-5 employees working to move the line fast.Out of those 4-5 workers one or two is at the beginning asking customers have you been here before and what would you like. After that theirs one person at the register and usually two people at the oven , but when its sow theirs only one person.

Service is friendly and on some days there are times were the wait is longer than 5min the most time i waited to create a pizza was 8 minutes. The wait on the weekends is longer than the weekdays because its not a weekend with tons of people out celebrating. Although blaze is downtown the wait may seem long just by looking at the line but the employees  work fast to get you in and out. Granted on a festive weekends the wait is long.

IMG_2448          IMG_2457

Had to save the best fro last! The actually pizza made at blaze pizza is DELICIOUS. I mean think about it , its your pizza where you chose what to put on it and what not to put on it.No more disagreements with your spouse, kids, or  sibling because its all yours.Blaze pizza have Delicious ingredient , but there crust is thin and there border crust poofs up a little bit. There crust is not as big as other pizza places or square shape, but its still delicious. Blaze also sells dessert. My favorite dessert is the s’more cookie. I get my warm it so the chocolate can be more melted , but they do give it to you warm temperature

Impacts

Everyone has that handful of people that leave the biggest imprint on your life. Those people range from a personal family member, outside source such as teachers, coaches, or friends, and even people he or she has never met before.

One of the biggest personal influences on my life so far is my sister Cydney. Cydney was born a year before me (1997), which makes her older than me. Growing up I would always follow my big sister and try to be like her. We would always wear matching to similar outfits from when we where younger till even now where we would share our clothes. From sharing each other clothes to sharing a bedroom together for 17 years we got closer and closer each day. Also while growing up I was attached to my sister at hips. Even today our mom would say “you love your big sister” directing her comment at me.

IMG_E0774
Although we shared a room for 17 years when the time came for having separate rooms I would still go into my sister room and sleep along side her or at the end of her bed. Also since Cydney is older than me in age I’ve learned and I am still learning through her experiences about life, boys, and even school. I’ve learned so much by observing her actions and even talking to her.Cydney is one of my most trusted best friend that I’ll never lose touch with no matter how far the distance is between us or no matter how much we get caught in our own lives I promise we will always have one another. My sister and I attend the same school until her freshman year of college when she then attended Cleveland State Unversity, while I stayed home and completed my senior year. I couldn’t have wished for a better sister than the one and only sister I have now.

The second person to influence me is my very first dance teacher Mrs.Jane Wilhelm. When I first attend Ferndale middle school back in 7th grade I was given the choice to choose what my 2 electives would be. The only choices I had was dance, choir, or orchestra. Having no background knowledge of playing an instrument and not being able to sing well I was left with the choice of dance. When I first pick dance I didn’t know what to expect since I had never been introduced to the world of dance; before I step foot in Mrs.Whilhelm classroom.Mrs.Whilem is an older white lady that teachers dance to middle schools and high schoolers. Unaware of the many different dance styles such as, jazz, ballet, tap, and many more had seen the potential of a great dancer and choreography that I could be.

IMG_E0775

I am truly blessed to have ever known someone of her character. Everytime her dance class would put on a shoe she would always try and find the cheapest way for us to afford our customs. In fact, for all of the dance recitals that I have been in she will always dig into her own pockets, pay and buy 23 girls a shirt, pair of pants, or any hair accessory the class needed to wear for the show. Although Ms.whilem was my dance instructor she not only introduce me to dance, but also taught me to laugh when I fall and to never give up. She is one of the most kind-hearted ones I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting and the most inspirational teacher I had ever had throughout my high school education. If it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t feel a sensation of peace when my feet are on a dance floor. To this day I visit Ms.whilem and see all the younger girls she is now inspiring and will always show my gratitude towards her

AWDAHP     IMG_E0778

The last person to influence me the most is a dancer name Misty Copeland. Misty Copeland never knew about the world of dance like me, until the age of thirteen. Her first encounter was when she went to her local boys and girls club and after sitting on the side watching other girls and boys play she finally got the courage to join in on the fun and try dancing. From that moment on Misty had a tough journey on moving up the ladder in the dance world. Through all of her hard work and serious injuries she still came back on top and became the first African American woman principal ballet dancer with the astonishing New York’s American Ballet Theater Company.

img_0781.jpgUnlike many ballerinas, Misty Copeland decided that ballerinas should be known as much as basketball, baseball, and even football players should be. Misty Copeland is the only ballerina to endorse my a sportswear company and write her own book. Misty Copeland has inspired me to continue on in my dance journey and like Ms.whilem to never give up no matter the circumstances. I haven’t had the chance to have known Misty Copeland personally, but like a superhero, she inspires not only me but many other African American girls all over the world. Misty Copeland gives me more hope than any other dancer because of her story. Misty is not tall with blond hair and lighter skin, but because of her unique qualities, she’s more breathtaking than any other ballerina she stands next to. I may not know her now, but I know one day I will see her perform and have the pleasure of actually meeting her.

Me By The Numbers…..

Numbers are thrown at us in many size, shape , and form ,but we don’t always notice.

A meaningful number to me is 2.Two is a meaningful number to me because in my life I have many things that comes in double.I have 2 older siblings, Cydney and Jordan

img_0589My two older siblings have my back more than anyone in this world.

My love for both are as equal as the suns love for brightness.

IMG_8975[1]

I chose two for the reason of having both of my parents in the same household
and for both being in my life. My parents and I don’t always see eye to eye on matters, but their love is unconditional towards me.

The last reason I chose TWO is because I still have the same two best friends since high school.

Nae(taller friend) Our friendship started our freshman year of high school. We never approach one another until we both had dance class and from that moment on we haven’t stopped communicating and never will.

My other friend Tyra (shortest one) became friends by us actually starting off as not liking each other. It wasn’t until we both join the middle school basketball team that we found we’re more alike then we give credit to.

routin.Although I knew what my day

would be I was always excited to see what

new moments I would be able to create.

I know what you’re thinking.

How on earth did I have time

to run around and play like a normal kid.

Well all those after school activities I did I was interacting

Infinity

Infinity is a number that’s so everlasting

had to put it for the number of supports I

made throughout my life so far.I have supports

from Auburn Hills to Detroit to Atlanta to even Miami

The amount of support I received throughout my journey of life is still unbelievable to me.

Another Number that describe me will be the number 9.

I chose the number nine because the letterI is the ninth letter in the alphabet.

My name is very unique to all when

ask or read. I get different pronunciations for

my name such as EARL-LYN or I-REN or the most common IreLAND.

In most cases I don’t mind how  people  pronounce

my name. My name is different from norm and standards.

The urban dictionary describes Irelyn as a, A beautiful soul, with the spirit of the celtic and eyes that devour every waking thought, who define integrity, determination and love with her very being.I believe my name was the perfect match for me.

13. Thirteen is seen as a bad number because of friday the 13th.But in my case 13th represent the number of younger siblings I have. I don’t always see all 13th of them ,but when I do its the best laugh and fun I ever have.

Although my younger siblings are about my height or taller (the boys) they all understand that I’m older in age and wiser in mind.

Last but not least…..FIVE, SIX, SEVEN, EIGHT. These numbers put together are the biggest number counting in my life because without theses numbers there would’t be dance. My life feeds on dance like a decomposes feeding on organic material. Its a need not a want.
